🧪 Safety Tips for Handling
When handling and using 1-butene, strictly adhere to the following safety guidelines:
·Strictly Control Ignition Sources: Smoking and open flames are strictly prohibited in the work area. All electrical equipment and ventilation systems must be explosion-proof to prevent sparks from static electricity.
·Storage and Transportation: Store in a cool, well-ventilated warehouse. The warehouse temperature should not exceed 30°C (86°F). Do not store with strong oxidizers or acids.
·Emergency Response:
Leak: Evacuate personnel to an upwind area and cut off all ignition sources. Stop the leak if safe to do so. Increase ventilation. If possible, use water spray to dilute or disperse the leaking gas.
Fire: Shut off the gas source first. If the gas source cannot be shut off, do not extinguish the flames. Instead, spray water on the containers to cool them and allow the fire to burn itself out to prevent a backflow explosion.
·Exposure (Inhalation): Move the person to fresh air immediately. Administer artificial respiration if needed.
·Exposure (Skin/Frostbite): Do not remove clothing stuck to the skin. Rinse the affected area with copious amounts of warm water.
