Isobutane R600a
1. Product Overview
Isobutane, also known as 2-methylpropane, is marked as refrigerant R600a. It is a 4th-generation natural hydrocarbon refrigerant (HC). With ODP = 0 and GWP ≈ 3, it features excellent environmental performance and fully complies with EU F-Gas Regulation, Kigali Amendment and other global environmental policies. It delivers high heat transfer efficiency at low temperature, requires low refrigerant charge and keeps operating cost low. It is classified as Safety Class A3 (low toxicity, highly flammable). Restricted by charging regulations, it is only applicable to small refrigeration equipment.
