Auto-ignition Temperature: 450 °C
Solubility: Slightly soluble in water, soluble in ethanol, ether and other organic solvents
Hazard Classification: Class 2.1 Flammable Gas. High concentration may cause asphyxia; liquid ethylene may lead to frostbite.
2. Main Applications
·Polyethylene (PE): HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE for films, pipes, injection and blow molding products.
·EVA Copolymer: Used for foaming materials, shoe materials and photovoltaic encapsulation films.
·Ethylene Oxide (EO): Raw material for ethylene glycol, antifreeze, polyester and surfactants.
·Styrene: Further processed into PS and ABS resins.
·Vinyl Chloride Monomer (VCM): For PVC production (pipes, profiles and building materials).
·Alpha-olefins: 1-Hexene, 1-Octene, serving as comonomers for LLDPE.
·Other fields: Synthetic ethanol, acetaldehyde, acetic acid, synthetic rubber and refrigerant R1150.
