N-Hexane is a straight-chain saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon with a chemical formula of C6H14. It is a colorless and transparent liquid at room temperature with a slight petroleum odor. It has high volatility and high fat solubility. Hexane is used for vegetable oil extraction, rubber processing, electronic component cleaning and printing ink preparation.
