N-pentane is a foaming agent with zero ozone depletion potential, which meets environmental standards and is used to replace Freon. N-pentane is widely used in insulation boards, sandwich panels and other exterior wall insulation materials.
N-pentane is flammable and explosive (explosion limit 1.4%-8.3%), and should be stored in iron barrels or tank trucks to avoid contact with oxidants. Explosion-proof equipment should be used in case of leakage, and anti-soluble foam fire extinguishing agents are recommended.
N-pentane is mainly purified by distillation separation of mixed pentane or purification of natural gas condensate, using a double-stage distillation tower and a 4A molecular sieve refiner, with a purity of ≥95%, and the product purity meets national standards.
